EPS offers the right 'medicine' for 'sick' lighting!
Not only were the GSK metal halide lamps draining more energy than needed but it was a very poor quality light. Moreover, light is wasted in areas where there is little foot traffic. EPS came in and took out all the HID lamps and retrofitted to T8's and reflectors in the warehouse areas. Sensors were installed to keep lights on only when motion is detected.
The office area was installed with T8's and reflectors, cutting down on the number of lamps needed. Lamp and ballast replacement from normal wear and tear is now cut because of significantly longer life expectancies than ordinary T12 lamps and ballasts. EPS is saving GSK nearly a quarter of a million dollars per year at today's electric costs in energy, replacement costs, labor costs and other hidden savings benefits!
